Aims and scope

The Journal of Neurosurgical Sciences, a bi-monthly international, peer-reviewed scientific journal on neurosurgery, indexed in EMBASE, PubMed/MEDLINE, Science Citation Index Expanded (SCIE), Scopus, has an impact factor of 1.3.
It publishes original works relating to neurosurgery, with special attention to clinical and transitional neurosurgery. The Editorial Board also encourages submission of review articles and meta-analyses. Other manuscripts accepted for review include articles about education, surveys on the clinical aspects of a neurosurgeon’s life. Letters to the Editor on relevant topics, illustrative cases or recently published articles are also accepted.
The Journal of Neurosurgical Sciences encourages submission of works that have not been previously published in whole or in part. Papers submitted to the journal are subjected to rigorous review by neurosurgeons or other researchers expert in the field. In addition to the article’s scientific merit, the reviewers also consider its impact on the neurosurgical community.
The Journal offers a fast and rigorous peer review process as well as open access options.
The Journal of Neurosurgical Sciences welcomes articles on a wide variety of neurosurgical topics.
