Aims and scope

Minerva Cardiology and Angiology is an international peer-reviewed scholarly bimonthly scientific publication founded in 1953, which aims to publish high-quality original research articles, reviews and pertinent editorials focusing on cardiovascular disease, from epidemiology and prevention, to pathophysiology, diagnosis, risk-stratification, management and rehabilitation.
The journal, which is the official Journal of the Italian Society of Angiology and Vascular Pathology - SIAPAV, affiliated to the Italian College of Phlebology (CIF) and the Italian Society of Microcirculation (SIM), is indexed in EMBASE, PubMed/MEDLINE, Science Citation Index Expanded (SCIE), Scopus and has an impact factor of 1.4. The goal of the journal is to improve the understanding and management of cardiovascular disease, reduce its burden, and improve patient life expectancy and wellbeing.
Original articles and reviews are welcome from all countries and are considered for possible publication after external peer review. Editorials are typically by invitation only, but occasionally may be submitted without any prior agreement with the Editorial Board. Letters of comments on articles recently published in the Journal may also be considered for publication.
The scope of the Journal is mainly focused on translation or clinical research on the diagnosis, risk-stratification, and treatment of cardiovascular disease, but other dimensions of cardiovascular epidemiology, physiology, and pathophysiology, as well as angiology and phlebology, may also prove of interest to our readers.
The Journal offers a fast and rigorous peer review process as well as open access options.
Minerva Cardiology and Angiology welcomes articles on a wide variety of cardiological and angiological topics.
