Aims and scope

Minerva Anestesiologica, a monthly international, peer-reviewed scientific journal on anesthesia, resuscitation, analgesia and intensive care, is one the oldest journals in the world (the first issue was published in 1936).
The journal is indexed in EMBASE, PubMed/MEDLINE, Science Citation Index Expanded (SCIE), Scopus and its impact factor is 2.9.
The aim of the journal is to develop and disseminate knowledge in anesthesia, critical care, pain, perioperative and hyperbaric medicine; it is an educational journal for those associated with anesthesia, intensive care medicine and pain medicine, and a means by which individuals may inform their colleagues of their research and experience.
Minerva Anestesiologica offers high-quality original articles, reviews, expert opinions, and editorials. Space is reserved for correspondence with comments on published articles or original data.
The Journal offers a fast and rigorous peer review process as well as open access options.
Minerva Anestesiologica welcomes articles on a wide variety of topics related to anesthesia, resuscitation, analgesia and intensive care.
