Aims and scope
The Journal of Cardiovascular Surgery, a bi-monthly international, peer-reviewed scientific journal on cardiac, vascular and thoracic surgery, indexed in BIOSIS Previews, Current Contents/Clinical Medicine, EMBASE, PubMed/MEDLINE, Science Citation Index Expanded (SCIE), Scopus.
The journal aims to foster discussion among Cardiac Surgeons, Vascular Surgeons, Cardiologists and Vascular Interventional Radiologists about cardiovascular disease and its therapy.
In the rapidly changing world of minimally invasive therapy, multi-specialty involvement and a team approach are often the keys to success. The Journal of Cardiovascular Surgery thus aims to increase knowledge and disseminate the latest advances in the treatment of cardiovascular, peripheral arterial and venous diseases in a spirit of open collaboration and experience sharing.
It publishes peer-reviewed papers as original articles, case studies, experimental research, reviews and meta-analyses as well as focused issues coordinated by world leading experts as Invited Editors to center on the latest advances and the state of the art regarding specific cardiovascular topics.
Editorials and letters are also published with the same scope of increasing collaboration and discussion among peers interested in Cardiovascular disease and therapy, for the benefit of our patients.
The Journal offers a fast and rigorous peer review process as well as open access options.
The Journal of Cardiovascular Surgery welcomes articles on a wide variety of topics related to cardiac, vascular and thoracic surgery.
