Atrial fibrillation is the most frequent sustained cardiac arrhythmia, and represents a frequent cause of any ischemic stroke, as well as the leading cause of thromboembolic stroke. Correct approaches of oral anticoagulation are crucial to prevent atrial fibrillation-related thromboembolic events. This book provides practical indications on the strategies of oral anticoagulation for all settings of atrial fibrillation patients.
