Aims and scope

The Italian Journal of Dermatology and Venereology is a bi-monthly international, peer-reviewed scientific journal on Dermatology and Venereology with specific focus on General Dermatology, Dermato-oncology, Cutaneous Immunopathology, Allergology, Pediatric Dermatology, Genodermatoses, Trichology, Sexually Transmitted Diseases, Mycology, Dermatopathology and Basic Research in Dermatology.
The Italian Journal of Dermatology and Venereology is one the oldest journals in the world - the first issue was published in 1866 - and is the official journal of the Italian Society of Dermatology and Sexually Transmitted Diseases (SIDEMAST).
The Journal is indexed in EMBASE, PubMed/MEDLINE, Science Citation Index Expanded (SCIE), Scopus and has an impact factor of 1.8.
The Italian Journal of Dermatology and Venereology publishes high quality articles (editorials, original articles, review articles, special articles, letters to the Editor and guidelines) after a rigorous peer review process and comes out six times a year. Its aim is to constantly update and improve the positive trends achieved over recent years.
The Journal offers a fast and rigorous peer review process as well as open access options.
The Italian Journal of Dermatology and Venereology welcomes articles on a wide variety of topics related to dermatology.
