The aim of this review is to present a national, multicenter, observational, prospective registry based on the examination of treatment of critical limb ischemia with infragenicular bypass adopting in-situ saphenous vein technique (LIMBSAVE registry). This registry was conceived in April 2017, and the protocol was written in Autumn 2017. The prospective registry officially started in January 2018. The first patients have been enrolled in February 2018. In this paper, the protocol of the LIMBSAVE registry will be detailed.
