Clair D.
Department of Vascular Surgery, Vascular Surgery Cleveland Clinic, Cleveland, OH, USA
Embolic protection devices have been utilized during the performance of carotid artery interventions for over 10 years. The advantage these devices provide during the perfromance of CAS has been widely accepted and they have been established as a mandatory component of this procedure.
