The yellow nail syndrome (YNS) is a rare condition characterized by the concomitant manifestation of three clinical features: yellow and dysmorphic nails, respiratory symptoms and peripheral lymphedema. The diagnosis is usually made clinically, when the simultaneous presence of two of the three elements of the triad is found. However, the syndrome exhibits also some peculiar radiological features. We presented the case of a patient affected by YNS with a typical phenotype, describing the radiological findings related to the syndrome, paying particular attention to the ultrasonographic examination of soft tissues and nail layers.
