Nasopharyngeal teratomas are rare congenital tumors. Transoral or transpalatal excision is widely used for these masses. A complete resection is important to reduce the risk of recurrence. Purely endoscopic transnasal approaches to nasopharyngeal pathologies became a standard surgical technique in adult patients over the past decade. However, it has been rarely used in newborns. A complete resection of nasopharyngeal masses, especially if pedunculated, and the lower complication rate represent the main advantages of this approach. We report a case of nasopharyngeal teratoma in a newborn, with posterior cleft palate and extension to the oral cavity. Purely endoscopic transnasal surgery was performed.
