Renal stones in the modern era are most commonly treated with minimally invasive techniques and using endourological procedures. However, for more complex cases, there is renewed interest in exploring laparoscopic or robotic techniques that can offer patients significant benefits over otherwise multiple endourologic or open surgical intervention.
