Lung abscess is an uncommon pediatric problem, with not enough data on the subject in the medical literature. A 12-year-old boy with pneumonia of the middle lobe non-respondent to antibiotic therapy was reported in this study. The peculiarity of this case lies in the fact that the abscesses were multiple; indeed, multiple and/or bilateral abscesses are rarely described in the medical literature.
