This review is a practical paper about the treatment of fractures of the femoral neck. It describes the different forms of implants destined to the treatment of this problem, and answers the questions often asked by orthopedic surgeons about respective indications of each one. In addition to the usual fundamental research articles and reports of clinical studies that make up a review of this kind, the authors describes also the indications of these implants according to the frequent complications of this surgery. The review also discusses the indication of new devices to prevent dislocations.
