Management of complications in thumb carpo-metacarpal replacement

Carpo-metacarpal (CMC) replacement is a reliable procedure for arthritis of the thumb, but complications can occur depending on the implant and procedures. Very few articles are dedicated to complications of the CMC joint replacement. We propose here to understand the solutions for the CMC prosthesis revisions and propose a strategy for these revisions. Many solutions are proposed for revision of the CMC prothesis and the re implantation of a prosthesis is a reliable procedure.
