Surgical activity management during COVID-19 pandemic in Italy

The worldwide spread of the 2019 novel Coronavirus (SARS-CoV-19) has profoundly affected the way daily healthcare procedures are performed. Italy had a large number of confirmed cases of Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) and related fatalities. Since the beginning of this pandemic, many changes in routine clinical and surgical activity have been made and are described in this short manuscript.
