Obesity nowadays is an important factor for death all over the world. This review aims at figuring out the seriousness of obesity and find out the suitable quotas for investigating the development and treatment of it. BMI, WC, WHtR, BAI, WHR and ABSI have their own characters in different aspects. We crucially discussed the question how to use them to inflect the situation of obesity better and the treatment of it. We believe it can help us to face with the new problems about obesity and find out the new methods in the future.
