Right renal-cell carcinoma with cavo-atrial extension

Cardiac involvement in renal cell carcinoma (RCC) commonly arises from direct tumor thrombus extension into the renal vein, followed by inferior vena cava (IVC) (approximately 4-25% of patients with RCC) and/or the right atrium (approximately 2-10% of patients with RCC). Surgery is the most effective treatment for the management of patients with RCC and involvement of IVC. A case of right RCC with cavo-atrial extension is reported.
