Children in the morning exercise group performed the combined exercise, including elastic band exercise and aerobic activities, three times per week, for a period of 12 weeks. Measurements of body composition, physical fitness factors, and blood parameters were performed twice before and after the morning exercise program.
RESULTS: The results of this study indicated that the blood BDNF and IGF-1 levels were significantly increased after performing the morning exercise program in the morning exercise group compared with the control group (P<0.05).
CONCLUSION: In summary, it is likely that the morning exercise program has a positive effects on mental health by increasing blood BDNF level.
