Emergency Department, ARNAS G. Brotzu, Cagliari, Italy

We have conducted a retrospective study from 2017 to 2019, using the criterion of prehospital triage “red code trauma,” admission to Intensive Care Unit, shock room stabilization procedures and injury balance after CT total body according to the A.I.S. scale in order to “quantify” the number of patients and the type of injury in patients with a major trauma. On the basis of the freely available reports extracted from the Traumas Emilia Romagna Register during the observation period, the study verified that our clinical cases were similar to those of some national Trauma Centers (Maggiore Hospital, Bologna, Italy; Bufalini Hospital, Cesena, Italy).
