BACKGROUND: Today, ultrasonography (USG), computed tomography (CT) imaging methods have been widely used in many diseases, and the incidence of incidentalomas has increased in patients. In the present study, we aimed to review 40 cases of incidentaloma in our clinic.
METHODS: The findings of 40 patients with adrenal mass between January 2011 and February 2012 were retrospectively reviewed.
RESULTS: Twenty cases were operated. CT size of the tumor ranged from 2 to 10 cm. The operation was recommended for patients whose mass was 5 cm or more. Follow-up was recommended for 20 patients.
CONCLUSIONS: Our findings suggest that incidentalomas should be carefully examined according to endocrinological, biochemical and other aspects data.
