Cardiac myxomas are common cardiac tumors and recurrence – especially in individuals without any predisposing conditions – is rare. The patient we are presenting is a 64-year-old woman who has had two recurrences, each originating from a different location in the left atrium. The patient’s past medical history is notable for hypertension and type II diabetes. The symptoms and histology of the tumors were within normal criteria, however, the patient’s history makes the presentation of her illness interesting. Therefore, further inquiry and analysis of this case could be exceedingly beneficial to the scientific community to better understand the etiology of cardiac myxomas.
