White eyed blow out fracture (WEBOF) in the pediatric age, is a well recognized entity. Sometimes diagnosis is missed. This leads to a significant morbidity when surgical exploration and treatment are not performed. In case of WEBOF, the indication for early restoration and release of the entrapped periorbit and muscles is mandatory. Time is usually within 10-14 days after injury. Complete clinical assessment including ophthalmological evaluation, is of utmost importance. This type of fractures are frequent in young patients with orbital trauma often associated with nausea, vomiting, double vision, edema and limitation of the upward gaze. The authors report a clinical case of WEBOF surgically treated within one week after trauma.
