The ultimate goal of training is to provide the best quality for care, in accordance with the principles of equity for patients, citizens and for the specialists in the right to education. The following paper focuses on the European requirements for making a competency-based training process to create a medical doctor able to undertake comprehensive up-to-date medical practice in Phlebology in a professional manner, unsupervised and independently or within a team, in keeping with the needs of the health care system.
