Dentigerous cysts form during tooth development. Formation of the cyst primarily occurs in impacted or unerupted teeth. Maxillary involvement for dentigerous cysts is exceedingly rare. As such, the literature on removal of maxillary dentigerous cysts is limited. Furthermore, the surgical technique traditionally utilized for treatment of a dentigerous cyst of the maxillary sinus is the Caldwell-Luc procedure, making literature describing an endoscopic transnasal approach to maxillary cyst removal even more scarce. Although limited, current literature supports a transnasal endoscopic approach to maxillary ectopic tooth extraction as it has been associated with fewer complications and less morbidity. This case report describes a right transnasal endoscopic medial maxillectomy and ectopic tooth extraction and its post-operative outcomes.
