Unilateral facial numbness as a presenting feature of intraosseus lipoma of sphenoid bone

Intraosseous lipoma (IOL) is a rare benign bone tumor. There might be underreporting or misdiagnosis during radiological investigations due to poor awareness of this disease. We report the case of a patient who presented with left facial numbness and diagnosed to have IOL of greater wing of sphenoid bone. The literature was reviewed to highlight the variable presentations of this rare tumor.
