Maximizing the medical support, the first essential complementary treatment - controlling the infection, protecting the heart and the brain

In this chapter we describe the complementary medical treatment that aims to both prevent major cardiovascular events and improve patient’s appraisal and satisfaction of life quality. Our aim was to provide key elements for cardiovascular prevention that must be followed by the multidisciplinary team that manages the treatment of peripheral artery disease.
