Concomitant phlebectomy: debate for and against

There are several operative approaches currently available for treatment of combined superficial venous insufficiency and varicose veins, but there continues to be debate regarding the extent of operative intervention. This review will present evidence based arguments both for and against concomitant and staged approaches. Important clinical factors will be combined into a proposed algorithm to help guide decision making for concomitant vs. staged approaches.
