Acute gastrointestinal bleeding: the role of angio-CT in emergency
Fabio FRANCO ✉, Michelle MAGLI
Department of Radiodiagnostics, Valle d’Itria Hospital, ASL Taranto, Martina Franca, Taranto, Italy
Acute gastrointestinal bleeding is a common reason for emergency department admissions and an important cause of morbidity and mortality. Its management, therefore, must be multidisciplinary and include emergency physicians, gastroenterologists, and surgeons, as well as radiologists for diagnostic imaging and interventional therapy. With this work we want to emphasize the clinical importance of angio-CT in the management of acute gastrointestinal bleeding.
