The treatment of renal angiomyolipoma (AML) in female patients with a concurrent diagnosis of lymphangioleiomyomatosis (LAM) is a topical challenge in medicine. Renal AMLs occurring in patients with LAM are usually multiple, bilateral, fast-growing and present a high risk of life-threatening bleeding, whereby a nephron-sparing procedure is necessary in order to treat the lesion and to prevent the comparison of renal failure due to the treatment. The advent of selective artery embolization (SAE) represents a minimally invasive, effective and safe alternative to surgery or medical treatment.
