So-called coral reef aorta (CRA) is a rare atherosclerotic disease that performs endoluminal calcifications along the thoraco-abdominal aorta. Symptomatology vary in relation to the site and the most frequent symptoms are severe hypertension and intermittent claudication. In this article, we describe the case of a 65-year-old woman with a diagnosis of infrarenal aortic occlusion and a shared decision of endovascular treatment by stent placement. The advantages respect to surgery, the materials used, the technique of execution and the evaluation of follow-up are then described.
