Pulmonary artery pseudoaneurysm (PAP) is the cause of hemoptysis in around 5%-10% of the cases. Several conditions can determine the development of PAP, however lung infection is the main cause. Since PAP rupture is associated with high mortality and its surgical repair is affected by high morbidity and mortality, endovascular treatment is the first-choice therapy. We report a case of a 75 years-old male suffering from pneumonia with persistent hemoptysis, complicated by the development of PAP, treated by selective embolization of the feeding pulmonary artery branch alone.
