Anhedonia: a transnosological concept?

Anhedonia, term proposed by Ribot in 1896, is an incapacity to feel pleasure in situations or activities habitually delightful. In this review, the author considers its possible neurobiological correlates and its psychopathological relationships with schizophrenia, major depression and addictive disorders, suggesting how it is a complex psychological condition, hardly interpretable, for its nosological transversality.
