Giupponi G., Seemann O., Kapfhammer H. P., Möller H. J.

PDF

Increased use of Internet is beginning to influence medicine. One negative side-effect of Internet seems to be that some people have become addicted to it. Many cases have been reported and even surveys of this phenomenon have been analysed. Nevertheless it is doubtful if the term Internet-addiction is justified. The Munich University Psychiatry Depart-ment has an Internet Section which plans to diagnose patients with this new syndrome.
