Hip arthroscopy: fundamental techniques

Arthroscopy of the central and peripheral compartments of the hip has expanded to endoscopic methods. Arthroscopy can be performed with the patient supine or lateral, according to the surgeon’s preference. Orientation of the joint is familiar to orthopedic surgeons accustomed to managing hip fractures and the layout of the operating room is user-friendly. We are going to examine the procedure, the preparation of the operating room, the portals and finally assessing the supine approach for hip arthroscopy.
