The authors describe a case of rupture of the quadriceps tendon that has been repaired through drill holes in the patella with reinforces technique, using non-absorbable Bunnel sutures to the retinaculums to relieve tension on the repair. Further investigations are required in order to promote the application of this technique in case of operation for an acute rupture of quadriceps tendon.
