Post-traumatic metacarpophalangeal locking. A case report

Simonini G., Galli S., Bianchini M.

PDF

A rare case of post-traumatic locked metacarpophalangeal joint in a young patient is reported. The locking was caused by an oblique metacarpal fracture, healed with an osteochondral spike, protruding in the metacarpophalangeal joint. The morphology of this fracture was not completely evident through standard radiography, but it required a more sophisticated instrumental examination as the computed tomography (CT).
