Dislocations of the tarso-metatarsal joint. Results and treatment of complications

We present our experience of the treatment of complications of fracture-dislocations of the traso-metatarsal joint. The treatment is always difficult, and the prognosis depends on the accuracy of the reduction and stabilization of the fracture in the acute phase: we suggest a surgial treatment in any case, also in patients with slight dislocation. The end results are often unfavourable. We present indications, surgical strategy and results of Lisfranc joint arthrodesis.
