Intramedullary osteosynthesis in arm fractures
Guido G., Chiellini F., Giannotti S., Luppichini G., Mattugini V.
Personal experience in the treatment of arm fractures using intramedullary osteosynthesis is reported. The means of fixation were Galluccio's nails inserted using a distal route. Intramedullary osteosynthesis is easy to carry out even in emergency; it gives fractures sufficient stability to promote the formation of the callus. It is free of complications, such as infections and is low cost from an economic point of view.
