The medico-legal evaluation of patients with Klinefelter syndrome aimed at ascertaining the presence of the medical criteria for the granting of civil disability related benefits (law no. 118/1971) presents several interpretative issues, as the various comorbidities associated with this syndrome have a variable frequency in each case. For such reasons the fixed percentage (25%) of disability indicated for these patients in the tables currently in force (D.M. 05.02.1992) can be incorrect. In the patients with Klinefelter syndrome the medico-legal evaluation should therefore take into account not only the diagnosis but mainly the associate diseases.
