Health services accreditation: reports from english speaking countries and from Italy specifically regarding the Piedmont area
Rosate R., Massimelli M.
Dipartimento di Anatomia Farmacologia e Medicina Legale dell’Università di Torino, Torino
After an analysis of the accreditation system in the health facilities in the main English speaking countries, we examined the Italian context specifically referring to data obtained in the Piedmont northwestern area. We have identified the active methods of accomplishment of the accreditation system. This contribution detects the main aspects on a field of major social importance such as the Intensive care therapy. The following statements stimulate thoughts on insurance policies related to the actual contract enacted by the Piedmont regional government regarding tort liability of employees of the health departments and towards third party.
