Iatrogenic lesion is a lesion due to the activity of a physician especially in surgical therapy and sometimes the patient thinks that it is a breach of duty and so a professional claims can begun. The defendant has to prove that complication is not related to his care or treatment, but it is a risk related to the operation, as unavoidable adverse event. The aim of this review is to analyze the important role of medical record, because it is the only proof in the hand of the doctor (defendant) to prove he acts with diligence in the operating theatre or ward.
