Bacterial biofilms and nosomial infections limits of the physician’s liability
Santovito D.
In the fields of microbiology, pharmacology and other similar sciences a lot of discoveries have revolutionized the therapy of infection, so that mortal infection diseases became curable. Unfortunately, the use of antibiotics is the cause of resistent bacteria growth in hospital enviroment and nosocomial infections are a source of professional liability for physicians. In the last years discoveries developed a new concept of bacterial colonization, the microrganisms organize complex structures biologically resistant to the external agents. These findings are now important for a correct valuation of the physician's liability in case of nosocomial infection disease.
