Pseudotumor cerebri (PTC) is a syndrome characterized by intracranial hypertension (>20 mmH2O), bilateral headache and papilledema, initially without loss of visus, in the absence of intracranial expansive processes or hydrocephalus. Since obesity is a risk factor for the development and progression of the disease, the reduction of BMI through a targeted dietetic intervention (to be hypocaloric, hypoglucidic, hyperproteic) positively influences the natural history of the pathology.
