Wounds are a major cause of morbidity and impaired quality of life and take up substantial health care resources in developed countries. Modern dressing is a key act to induce healing of chronic wounds. Tissue repair plays a leading role in the treatment of these injuries, using advanced dressings, such as polyurethane foams.
