Mann-Whitney U non-parametric tests and multivariate (discriminant) analysis of data was done.
RESULTS: The Mann-Whitney U non-parametric tests showed higher values for winning team than losing team in the following parameters: number of goals (P=0.000), goals scored in offensive area (P=0.004), goal scored from the defensive area (P=0.034), goals on action (P=0.039). Values were higher also for: passes on ground (P=0.022), kicks after dribbling (P=0.039), intercepted passes in defensive area (P=0.009), dribbling succeeded in offensive area (P=0.016) and in defensive area (P=0.044). In particular, the variables that most distinguished winning team from losing team were: passes on ground, penalties, kicks after dribbling and dribbling in offensive area.
