Descending colon submucosal lipoma: case report and literature review

This case is an 84-year-old woman, she because of abdominal pain in the left 10 days and add 1 day on admission, abdominal enhanced CT and endoscopic ultrasonography are considered as the descending colon lipoma. Surgical removal of the lipoma and part of the bowel, loops of samples were sent to freezing, results suggest lipoma, then end of the operation. Colonic lipoma and colon cancer are similar in clinical manifestation, so how to early diagnosis, reduce unnecessary surgery resection range, improve the quality of the patient’s quality of life is the key.
