Asymptomatic appendix perforation caused by a migrated intrauterine device

We report the case of an asymptomatic uterine perforation caused by a copper intrauterine contraceptive device (IUCD) with appendix perforation. Laparoscopic surgery was successfully performed. Opinions among authors concerning the timing for monitoring patients with IUD and the opportunity of removal of a migrated IUD are still discordant.
