Pneumocystis jirovecii pneumonia with concomitant false positive HIV test in angioimmunoblastic T-cell lymphoma with autoimmune phenomena

Here we describe a case of a 55-year old man who presented with 2-month history of weight loss, fever and generalized lymphadenopathy and developed severe Pneumocystis jirovecii pneumonia. Although concomitant HIV ELISA test was positive, the final diagnosis was unusual angioimmunoblastic T-cell lymphoma with autoimmune phenomena.
