Hypopituitarism and reversible involvement of pituitary gland during Hodgkin’s disease: a case report
Proto G., Purinan A.
Unit of Endocrinology and Metabolic Diseases, Department of Medicine, Azienda Ospedaliero-Universitaria di Udine, Udine, Italy
Metastasis, or involvement of the pituitary gland, is uncommon and is usually a complication of systemic cancer in elderly patients with diffuse malignant diseases. We hereby describe the case of a 47 yr-old man who has a pituitary lesion, hypopituitarism and Hodgkin’s disease. After a year from the diagnosis and chemotherapy we observed a complete reversible hypogonadism and a normal pituitary stalk.
