Acanthoma fissuratum, also known as spectacle-frame acanthoma or granuloma fissuratum, is an under-diagnosed and rarely reported growth, which should be considered in the differential diagnosis of other skin benign or malignant lesions. This paper reports about a case of acanthoma fissuratum with a temporal localisation and extremely deep papillae, as histologically demonstrated. The nosological spectrum of acanthoma fissuratum seems to be enlarged by its anatomo-clinical variations.
